What building it taught me
- Running and maintaining services with Docker Compose: volumes, networks, user permissions and updates.
- Setting up a RAID 0 with two drives for more space and speed in a single volume.
- Publishing apps on subdomains with HTTPS behind a reverse proxy, without one open port per app.
- Getting into the home network with a WireGuard VPN, and staying reachable when the IP changes.
- Following each app’s security advisories and deciding what gets exposed to the internet.
